1Password
Keep secrets in place

SPIRITT creates and maintains 1Password vault items, retrieves credentials for authorized work, and coordinates the handoffs around them. Keep secret values out of task boards and team updates.

What you can do with 1Password.

  • Reliable credential records

Create and update vault items with consistent titles and fields so teams can find the right credential for each service and environment.

  • Completed handoffs

Connect vault maintenance to onboarding, credential replacement, and incident tasks, with clear owners and no secrets in status messages.

  • Purpose-built operations

Build credential intake and readiness workflows around accessible vaults, keeping secret values in 1Password rather than operational dashboards.

Get started in three steps.

01

Open your workspace

Start a SPIRITT workspace for credential operations, team handoffs, or the internal systems you want built.

A workspace connected to software projects
02

Connect 1Password

Connect with the required API key and scope the mission to vaults accessible to the service account. Use only the access needed for the work.

Delegate an outcome

Give SPIRITT a concrete mission, such as standardizing service credentials or running replacement handoffs across your team's tools.

Questions

1Password, with SPIRITT.

01What can SPIRITT do inside 1Password?+
SPIRITT can list accessible vaults and their items, retrieve a specific item including its fields and secrets, create items, update titles or field values, and permanently delete explicitly authorized items. These operations support credential inventories, record maintenance, and secure handoff workflows.
02Which vaults can SPIRITT access?+
The connection uses an API key, and vault discovery is limited to vaults the service account can access. Scope that access to the mission. The available operations do not include creating vaults or changing membership and sharing permissions.
03Does updating an item rotate the credential?+
No. Updating a password or token field changes the stored record, not the credential at its issuing service. SPIRITT can coordinate provider-side replacement, store the new value, and track validation and revocation separately so a vault update is not mistaken for completed rotation.
04Can it coordinate work without posting secrets in other apps?+
Yes. Linear or Asana can hold remediation tasks, Slack can carry owner follow-ups, and Google Sheets can hold readiness results. Those workflows can use service names, item references, and completion states while leaving passwords and tokens out of shared outputs.
05What custom systems are useful around these vault operations?+
SPIRITT can build a credential request desk, service readiness dashboard, or replacement handoff tracker. These systems match operational requests to vault items and track missing records or fields. They do not need to become another place where your team stores secret values.
06Does deleting a vault item revoke access to a service?+
No. The deletion operation permanently removes the stored item; it does not disable the password or token at its provider. Retirement workflows should track provider-side revocation separately and limit permanent deletion to exact items explicitly authorized for removal.
