What you can do with Affinity.

  • Decision-ready deal flow

Compare companies against your investment criteria using company and list-specific fields, with missing evidence clearly separated from weak fit.

  • Context across lists

Bring a company's entries across sourcing, diligence, and portfolio lists into one brief without flattening their different fields or histories.

  • Diligence that moves

Turn gaps in Affinity list entries into assigned work in connected tools, then maintain a review queue that shows what still needs resolving.

Questions

Affinity, with SPIRITT.

01Which Affinity records can SPIRITT use?+
SPIRITT can retrieve companies, people, opportunities, lists, list entries, saved views, and field metadata. It can also retrieve the lists and entries associated with an individual company or person, preserving context that differs between lists.
02Can SPIRITT update deal stages or add Affinity records?+
The available Affinity connection retrieves data; it does not create or update records. SPIRITT can still operate the surrounding work by building review apps, creating tasks in connected tools, and keeping decisions in a separate system. Affinity changes remain in your team's existing editing workflow.
03What access does the connection need?+
Affinity connects using an API key. The mission needs access to its source lists, saved views, and relevant records. SPIRITT uses available field metadata to select the fields needed for the work rather than assuming every list has the same structure.
04Can a recurring workflow follow an existing saved view?+
Yes. SPIRITT can retrieve a saved view's metadata and entries, using its configured filters and selected fields as the scope for a committee pack or work queue. Scheduled snapshots can reveal changes observed after the workflow starts; they are not a substitute for a complete historical activity log.
05What systems can SPIRITT build around investment lists?+
SPIRITT can build an investment review desk, thesis-scoring dashboard, company context library, or data-quality exception app. Affinity supplies the source records, while connected tools such as Asana, Google Docs, and Slack handle diligence tasks, committee documents, and team coordination.
06How are opportunity fields different from company and person fields?+
Basic opportunity retrieval does not include field data. Work that needs investment stage or other list-specific values must use the relevant list entries and field definitions. Company and person retrieval supports selecting available fields, and their list entries provide additional context specific to each list.
