Questions

Brex, with SPIRITT.

01Can SPIRITT issue Brex cards and change spending controls?+
Yes. SPIRITT can create cards for users, update card limits and controls, set monthly user limits, transfer cards, and lock, unlock, or terminate cards. Your mission defines the authorized employees, amounts, and actions; card credentials do not need to appear in operational reports.
02What access does the Brex connection need?+
Brex supports OAuth or an API key for this connection. Required access depends on the mission: reviewing transactions differs from creating users, modifying budgets, or locking cards. Connect the account with permissions appropriate to the records and changes you want SPIRITT to operate.
03Can it collect receipts and correct expenses before close?+
Yes. SPIRITT can list and inspect expenses, request receipts through a connected communication tool, upload supplied receipts for specific card expenses, and request receipt matching. It can also update expense details such as memo, department, and location, then track unresolved cases through the close workflow.
04How can Brex work connect to our other finance tools?+
Use Google Sheets for approved allocations and reconciliation workbooks, Google Drive for receipt evidence, Slack or Gmail for owner follow-through, and Asana for close exceptions. SPIRITT can carry confirmed decisions back into Brex budgets, spending controls, and expense records.
05What custom systems can SPIRITT build around Brex?+
SPIRITT can build a project budget console, card provisioning register, or expense resolution desk using Brex budgets, users, cards, expenses, and transactions. Scheduled checks keep these systems current; supported Brex event notifications can also feed workflows where relevant.
06Does this connection handle payments or just spending operations?+
It supports active spending operations, including card controls, budgets, expense updates, and vendor maintenance. It also retrieves cash balances, statements, and transfer history. The available actions do not initiate payments or transfers, so cash planning and vendor workflows remain distinct from moving money.
