Questions

D2L Brightspace, with SPIRITT.

01What can SPIRITT create and maintain in D2L Brightspace?+
SPIRITT can create and update course templates, course offerings, users, quizzes, quiz categories, and grade objects, plus update grade setup. It can also retrieve quiz questions, attempts, access lists, and grade statistics to support operational checks and teaching decisions.
02What access does a Brightspace mission need?+
The connected account needs permission for the specific operations and records involved. Reading quiz attempts, creating users, and changing grade settings require different access. Scope each mission to named courses and use restricted destinations for learner records and assessment evidence.
03Can it run recurring assessment workflows?+
Yes. SPIRITT can regularly check quizzes for questions, configuration, access, and recorded attempts. It can correct quiz properties against your assessment rules, verify the changes, and coordinate question-content or access fixes with instructors. Missing attempts and access discrepancies remain separate issues rather than being treated as learner inactivity.
04How can Brightspace work connect to our other systems?+
Google Sheets can supply term plans and account intake records, Google Drive can hold assessment specifications, and Asana or Microsoft Teams can carry instructor follow-up. SPIRITT uses Brightspace object IDs to tie those plans and tasks back to the relevant courses and assessments.
05What useful software can SPIRITT build around Brightspace?+
It can build a restricted course provisioning console, an assessment readiness dashboard, or a gradebook configuration checker. These systems can create course offerings, change quiz attempt limits, and maintain grade objects and grading configuration, with verification records and separate queues for question-content and access work.
06Does creating a quiz or user complete the whole teaching setup?+
No. SPIRITT can create quiz shells and update their properties, but this connection does not include question-writing actions. User creation does not enroll that user in a course, and grade-object changes are not learner-grade entry. SPIRITT handles account, quiz, and gradebook configuration while coordinating content, enrollment, and learner grading separately.
