What you can do with Knack.

  • Turn submissions into records

Create records directly or through the intended form view, preserving the distinction between object writes and form rules.

  • Keep operations consistent

Find relevant records, update confirmed fields and reconcile results with connected business systems.

  • Make attachments part of the job

Upload files or images, attach their returned IDs to records, and track the whole intake process to completion.

Get started in three steps.

01

Open your workspace

Start a SPIRITT workspace for your Knack workflows and the connected tools that support them.

A workspace connected to structured data
02

Connect Knack

Connect Knack with access to the records and resources your mission needs. Keep the account scope aligned with the work you delegate.

03

Delegate an outcome

Hand over a mission such as: build a service request portal. SPIRITT builds the workflow, coordinates the connected tools, and follows through on the result.

Questions

Knack, with SPIRITT.

01What can I delegate with Knack and SPIRITT?+
Build intake, case management and reconciliation workflows that create and maintain records in your existing Knack application. SPIRITT connects those capabilities to working apps, coordinated tasks and a maintained record of outcomes.
02How do I connect Knack?+
Open a SPIRITT workspace, connect Knack, and give it access to the records or resources your mission needs. Describe the outcome, the source of truth and the actions you want it to own. Existing account access determines which operations are available.
03Which tools work well alongside Knack?+
Useful combinations include Google Sheets to reconcile record imports, Gmail to follow up on submissions, Google Drive to supply record attachments. SPIRITT coordinates each separately connected app and keeps source references with the resulting work.
04Can it redesign the Knack app schema?+
The available actions work with records, views and uploads. SPIRITT can build a companion interface around existing objects and fields; creating Knack objects or changing its schema is not part of these actions.
05Do form rules run on every creation?+
Creating through a form view uses its included fields and runs configured form record rules. Direct object creation is a different operation and should not be assumed to run those form rules.
06How do attachments get linked?+
SPIRITT first uploads the file or image, then uses its returned file ID in a record creation or update. Uploading by itself does not attach the asset to a record.
