Questions

Search1API, with SPIRITT.

01Do I need a Search1API account or API key?+
No. No API needed, pay per usage. SPIRITT runs Search1API for you, so you never create a Search1API account, buy credits or paste credentials. Describe the topics and sites you care about and SPIRITT starts searching.
02What can SPIRITT do with Search1API?+
Search the live web across one or more search engines, search recent news, read a public page as clean text with metadata, list a site's URLs from its sitemap or links, extract fields with a prompt and JSON Schema, capture pages as PNG, JPEG or WebP screenshots, crawl a site into a downloadable archive, and read GitHub and Hacker News trends.
03How fresh is the data?+
Searches, news, trends, page reads and screenshots run live when called, so they reflect what is public at that moment. Site crawls run asynchronously and SPIRITT checks the task until the archive is ready. Content behind logins is out of scope.
04Can SPIRITT crawl an entire site?+
Yes. A deepcrawl starts a site crawl in the background, and SPIRITT retrieves the resulting ZIP archive when the task completes. For targeted work it can instead list URLs from the sitemap and fetch just the pages you need.
05How is Search1API usage billed?+
Usage is metered per call and charged to your workspace credits. It is not free or unlimited. Failed provider calls are not billed. You choose the topics, sites and cadence SPIRITT runs, which keeps recurring monitors focused.
06What does SPIRITT build around the results?+
Working systems, not search tabs. SPIRITT stores results in Supabase or Sheets, deploys research bots and search apps, enriches CRM records, opens GitHub or Linear issues, posts Slack alerts and keeps every monitor running on schedule.
