Segment
Make every event count

SPIRITT builds and operates event collection around Segment, from identity handoffs to historical imports. Keep sources organized and turn usage and delivery metrics into concrete next steps.

What you can do with Segment.

  • Reliable event capture

Build collection workflows that identify users, associate accounts, and send custom events with the context your tracking plan requires.

  • Continuity across identities

Carry approved identity mappings and historical timestamps into Segment so account transitions and backfills follow explicit rules.

  • Actionable delivery checks

Compare source API usage and destination delivery metrics, investigate changes, and coordinate fixes with the team responsible.

Get started in three steps.

01

Open your workspace

Start a SPIRITT workspace for the customer data operations and event collection systems you want to run.

02

Connect Segment

Connect Segment with API key access appropriate to your mission, and provide the source or destination IDs it should use.

Delegate an outcome

Give SPIRITT a tracking plan, import goal, or delivery problem. It builds the workflow and carries the work through.

Questions

Segment, with SPIRITT.

01Which analytics calls can SPIRITT send to Segment?+
SPIRITT can send identify, alias, group, custom track, page view, and mobile screen calls. It can also batch analytics calls and import historical data with historical timestamps, supporting both ongoing collection and migration workflows.
02What access and context does a Segment mission need?+
Connect Segment using API key access suited to the requested operations. Supply the relevant source or destination IDs and, for event collection, the source credentials, tracking plan, identity rules, and permitted traits. Access to one operation does not imply access to every source or administrative action.
03Can SPIRITT diagnose delivery without reading raw events?+
It can retrieve daily per-source API call counts, destination delivery metrics summaries, and destination configuration. These support volume and delivery investigations, but they are not a raw-event query interface. Individual-event tracing needs separately supplied event logs or data from another connected system.
04How can Segment work with our engineering tools?+
SPIRITT can turn delivery anomalies and configuration mismatches into Linear issues, coordinate owners in Slack, and reconcile historical imports against files in Google Drive. Supabase can hold the intake queue and local submission ledger for a custom collection service.
05What custom systems can SPIRITT build around Segment?+
It can build a signup collection service, mobile tracking test harness, batch intake queue, or source ownership console. Available source operations include adding existing labels, updating metadata and settings, inspecting schema settings, and listing connected warehouses.
06Does this replace Segment's routing or destination setup?+
No. Segment remains the customer data platform; SPIRITT operates collection and supporting workflows around it. This connection can inspect destination configuration and delivery summaries, but does not provide destination creation or routing changes. Source deletion and write key removal are available for explicitly authorized retirement work.
