What you can do with Shortcut.

  • Start with workable scope

Break a brief into epics, stories, tasks, and linked documentation so engineers get context alongside the work.

  • Resolve the blockers

Repair story dependencies, reassign work using your ownership rules, and coordinate the next handoff before scope slips.

  • Keep strategy in view

Reconcile objectives with commitments and measured results while keeping shipped scope distinct from business outcomes.

Get started in three steps.

Questions

Shortcut, with SPIRITT.

01Can SPIRITT create a complete Shortcut delivery structure?+
Yes. It can create epics, stories, tasks, iterations, objectives, and docs, plus story relationships and comments. It can create stories from templates and link docs to epics, keeping the source brief alongside implementation scope.
02What access does it need, and can it change existing stories?+
Connect Shortcut using an API key with access to the relevant workspace records. SPIRITT can inspect members and workflows, update existing story fields, owners, and workflow states, and apply changes across multiple stories. It can read back the records to verify that ownership, status, and scope match your rules.
03Can it run iteration planning and maintain the scope?+
Yes. SPIRITT can create and update iterations, assign existing stories, and reconcile iteration membership and estimates against your capacity budget. On recurring reviews, it can apply your carryover and priority rules, verify the revised scope, and publish exclusions or missing estimates that affect the plan.
04How does it distinguish epic health from story completion?+
Shortcut exposes epic health records separately from story workflow states. SPIRITT can create and update those health records using your risk rubric, consult health history, and explain changes in epic comments. Completed story counts alone do not establish whether dependencies or delivery risks are resolved.
05How can Shortcut work with GitHub, Figma, and Slack?+
With those apps connected, SPIRITT can compare pull request evidence with Shortcut stories, maintain design references, and coordinate blockers in Slack. It can update story fields, workflow states, tasks, and comments according to your handoff rules, then verify the changes. A merged pull request need not mean a story is released.
06What can SPIRITT build beyond a Shortcut dashboard?+
It can build a request desk that creates templated stories, a dependency coordinator that repairs story relationships and follows handoffs, or a release workflow that maintains docs linked to epics. These systems write changes back to Shortcut, verify the resulting records, and coordinate follow-through across connected tools rather than only displaying backlog counts.
