01What can SPIRITT do directly in Snowflake?+
SPIRITT can list accessible databases, schemas, and tables, execute SQL, retrieve statement status and results, and cancel running statements. SQL execution includes data retrieval and DDL, enabling work such as creating reporting views when the connected role permits it. It can also inspect named catalog integrations and retrieve public Snowflake service health.
02What access should I give it?+
Connect a Snowflake role with privileges for the mission's objects and operations. Database, schema, and table discovery reflects that role's visibility. An analytics mission can use read access; creating reporting objects needs the relevant DDL privileges. Credential validation can confirm the connection with a lightweight test query.
03Can it run recurring checks and handle slow SQL?+
Yes. SPIRITT can schedule freshness, quality, and reconciliation queries, retain execution details, check statement status, and collect results. You can set runtime limits for cancellation and define where exceptions go. This lets a recurring workflow finish with usable results or a specific failure record rather than an unattended query.
04How does Snowflake connect to work in other systems?+
Snowflake can supply the evidence while connected tools carry the follow-through. SPIRITT can publish reconciliation results to Google Sheets, route data defects into Jira, and send reporting exceptions to Slack. Source identifiers and SQL results give each follow-up a concrete dataset and discrepancy to investigate.
