Questions

Workday, with SPIRITT.

01What can SPIRITT actually do in Workday?+
SPIRITT can create expense entries, receipt attachments, reports, and report lines; populate and submit job and organization assignment changes; create time off requests, Help cases, and recruiting prospects; and execute authorized business process steps. It can also create payroll inputs and mentorship relationships.
02What access does a Workday mission need?+
Access must cover both the records and the actions involved. Time clock events require Workday Time Tracking access, and Help case types must be available to the case owner. Business process execution also depends on the connected user's authority. Connecting Workday does not grant unrestricted access to employee data or processes.
03Can SPIRITT execute process steps rather than just send reminders?+
Yes. Under your delegation policy and Workday permissions, SPIRITT can approve or deny steps, reassign work, send steps back, and submit ToDos or questionnaires using the required evidence. It checks process state afterward and distinguishes completed outcomes from steps still waiting on a human decision.
04How can Workday connect to our team's other tools?+
SPIRITT can turn Google Drive receipts into Workday expense records, use Google Sheets as an authorized payroll input source, and reconcile reorganization outcomes in Asana. Private Slack or Gmail follow-ups can carry missing-information requests while sensitive employee records remain limited to the intended recipients.
05What useful apps can SPIRITT build around Workday?+
Examples include an expense intake app that creates entries and attaches receipts, an absence portal that checks worker-specific types and valid dates before creating requests, and a Help case front door that displays case status. Each app can preserve Workday record references and provide access-controlled views.
06Does this replace Workday approvals or process configuration?+
No. SPIRITT executes available actions within Workday's business processes, not around their controls. Submitting a job change does not prove its completion, and creating an expense report does not reimburse an employee. SPIRITT adds custom intake, cross-tool execution, and outcome verification while preserving required approval gates.
