Questions

Tiingo, with SPIRITT.

01Do I need a Tiingo account or API key?+
No. No API needed, pay per usage. SPIRITT manages Tiingo access for you, so you do not sign up for Tiingo, choose a plan, or paste any credentials. Name your tickers and the outcome you want and SPIRITT starts building.
02What Tiingo data can SPIRITT use?+
SPIRITT can pull end-of-day stock prices (open, high, low, close, volume) with split and dividend adjusted values going back 30+ years for many tickers, the latest top-of-book quote from the IEX feed, ticker metadata such as name, description, exchange, and available date range, and crypto OHLCV bars for pairs like btcusd and ethusd from one-minute to daily.
03Is the stock data real time?+
End-of-day prices update after each trading session. The latest quote comes from the IEX exchange feed only, so it reflects IEX's top of book rather than the consolidated market. Crypto bars can be pulled at intraday frequencies. Choose the source that matches how fresh your workflow needs to be.
04Does Tiingo here cover fundamentals or news?+
No. The Tiingo capability available here covers stock prices, IEX quotes, ticker metadata, and crypto price bars. SPIRITT can combine it with your own data or other sources when your analysis needs financial statements or headlines.
05How does SPIRITT turn Tiingo data into working systems?+
SPIRITT schedules data pulls, stores history in a database, builds dashboards, screeners, and backtests, publishes reports, and sends alerts to Slack or email. It keeps them running and current. Results are analysis tools, not investment advice.
06How is Tiingo usage billed?+
Usage is metered per call and drawn from your workspace credits. Managed access is not free or unlimited, so larger universes and frequent refreshes use more credits. Failed provider calls are not billed.
